Cardinale named Director of CILER

Dr. Brad Cardinale was named director of the Cooperative Institute for Limnology and Ecosystems Research (CILER) in May, 2016.

CILER was established in 1989, with the mission to foster University and NOAA partnerships in the Great Lakes region. As a Center of Excellence located at the School of Natural Resources and Environment at the University of Michigan, CILER is one of sixteen NOAA Cooperative Institutes. CILER’s primary NOAA research partner is the Great Lakes Environmental Research Lab; CILER’s 25 researchers are housed there and work in direct collaboration with GLERL scientists.
