American Fisheries Society - aims to improve the conservation and sustainability of fishery resources and aquatic ecosystems by advancing fisheries and aquatic science and promoting the development of fisheries professionals.

 

American Forest & Paper Association's Sustainable Forest Initiative - is an exacting standard of environmental principles, objectives and performance measures that integrates the perpetual growing and harvesting of trees with the protection of wildlife, plants, soil and water quality and a wide range of other conservation goals.

 

American Institute of Biological Sciences - facilitates communication and interactions among biologists, biological societies, and biological disciplines in order to serve and advance the interests of organismal and integrative biology in the broader scientific community and other components of society on issues related to research, education, and public policy.

 

American Society of Landscape Architects - is a national professional society that represents the landscape architecture profession in the United States. Founded in 1899, ASLA currently represents more than 12,000 members.

 

Association of American Geographers - is a scholarly, nonprofit organization founded in 1904 to advance professional studies in geography and encourage the application of geographic research in education, government, and business. It promotes discussion among its members and with scholars in related fields, supports the publication of scholarly studies, and performs services to aid the advancement of its members and the field of geography.

 

Ecological Society of America - is a non-partisan, nonprofit organization of scientists founded in 1915 to: promote ecological science by improving communication among ecologists; raise the public's level of awareness of the importance of ecological science; increase the resources available for the conduct of ecological science; and ensure the appropriate use of ecological science in environmental decision making by enhancing communication between the ecological community and policy-makers.

 

Forest Service Employees for Environmental Ethics - is a nonprofit organization striving to forge a socially responsible value system for the U.S. Forest Service based on a land ethic that ensures ecologically and economically sustainable resource management.

 

International Association for Landscape Ecology - fosters landscape ecology in the United States; provides a link among workers in landscape ecology within the United States as well as the international community; and promotes the interdisciplinary research and communication among scientists, planners, and other professionals concerned with landscape ecology.

 

International Society for Ecosystem Health - is dedicated to the development of an integrated, transdisciplinary science of ecosystem health. Founded in 1994, ISEH was conceived to engage scholars from a variety of fields to transcend the natural, social, and health sciences.

 

Society for Conservation Biology - an international professional organization dedicated to promoting the scientific study of the phenomena that affect the maintenance, loss, and restoration of biological diversity. The Society's membership comprises a wide range of people interested in the conservation and study of biological diversity: resource managers, educators, government and private conservation workers, and students.

 

Society for Ecological Restoration - an international non-profit organization of individuals and organizations actively engaged in ecologically-sensitive repair & management of ecosystems through an unusually broad array of experience, knowledge sets and cultural perspectives.

 

Society of American Foresters - is the largest professional society for foresters in the world. The mission of SAF is to advance the science, education, technology, and practice of forestry; to enhance the competency of its members; to establish professional excellence; and, to use the knowledge, skills, and conservation ethic of the profession to ensure the continued health and use of forest ecosystems and the present and future availability of forest resources to benefit society.

 

Society of Wetland Scientists - is a non-profit organization founded in 1980 to promote wetland science and the exchange of information related to wetlands.

 

The Wildlife Society - is an international non-profit scientific and educational association dedicated to excellence in wildlife stewardship through science and education. TWS's mission is to enhance the ability of wildlife professionals to conserve diversity, sustain productivity, and ensure responsible use of wildlife resources for the benefit of society.
