University of Michigan scientists grew various combinations of freshwater algal species in 80 artificial ponds at U-M’s E.S. George Reserve near Pinckney, Michigan in the first large-scale, controlled experiment to test the widely held idea that biodiversity can improve the performance of algal biofuel systems in the field.

Please join us on March 14 at 4pm in Dana 1040 for a DEI presentation by Julian Agyeman Ph.D. FRSA FRGS, a Professor of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning at Tufts University. He is the originator of the concept of ‘just sustainabilities,‘ the full integration of social justice and sustainability. A recognized expert and thought leader, he is one of the top 15 most highly cited US and Canadian urban planning faculty ranked by Google Scholar in 2018.

The University of Michigan's Energy Club at Ross (ECR) proudly presents the 2017 Michigan Energy Conference.
