About Grant:
Grant currently serves as a Direct Air Capture Hubs Program Manager in the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Carbon Management, where he focuses on building the carbon removal ecosystem in the United States. Previously, Grant was the founder and president of Carbon-Based Consulting LLC, where he offered techno-economic assessment, life cycle assessment, and custom services to companies working on carbon removal and decarbonization.
Grant has worked on projects related to techno-economic assessements (TEAs) and life cycle assessments (LCAs) of technologies ranging from novel direct air capture (DAC) processes to various photochemical and electrochemical CO2 reduction systems. He has also worked on market research relevant to carbon utilization, TEA and LCA template development, and research on technology learning curves.
Grant has a strong interest in studying and improving the environmental, social, and economic performance of emerging technologies that can mitigate climate change as effectively as possible.
