Corporate Strategies for Addressing Climate Change (2006)

Client Organization:
Pew Center on Global Climate Change
Project Location :
Arlington, VA
Summary of Project Idea:

The project team has explored the current practices used by corporations that are leading the way in the implementation of climate change strategies, with the intent of informing the actions of those who follow. This work builds upon prior research on the motivations for corporate action on climate change by examining the design and implementation of corporate climate strategies and the close ties to political action. Primary research methods include interviews of corporate executives and staff, as well as a 100-question survey. This research formed the basis for Professor Hoffman's "Getting Ahead of the Curve: Corporate Strategies that Address Climate Change," published by the Pew Center in October 2006.
