SEAS alumna shares sustainability practices with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau

Landscape designer Becca Robinson (MLA ’09) has met with hundreds of homeowners to help them identify ways they can reduce their environmental footprint and make their homes and landscapes more sustainable. Recently, the SEAS graduate and her colleagues had the opportunity to share those same tips with none other than Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Michigan Sustainability Case: A Tale of Two (Polluted) Cities

While graduate students at SEAS, dual-degree classmates Cecilia Garibay (MS/MPP ’22) and Dolores Migdalia Perales (MS/MURP ’22) teamed up to develop the Michigan Sustainability Case, “A tale of two (polluted) cities: Latinx communities and Their allies face air pollution in Southwest Detroit and Southwest Los Angeles.” Their case, which focuses on air quality, asks how EJ issues affect different communities in different ways, and how Latinx members voice their concerns.
