Financial Support for EMI

San Pedro National Riparian Conservation Area Landscape © Steve YaffeeThe Ecosystem Management Initiative is funded through a combination of program grants and contributions from individual donors. Faculty and staff at EMI are particularly grateful for the support of Bill Searle and his family who have provided funds to cover core expenditures such as staffing needs. Since our inception, the Searle family support has been crucial to the growth and success of EMI.

Grants supporting specific program activities at EMI have been received from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation , the Ford Foundation , the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation , the National Science Foundation , the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, the Prentice Foundation, the US Department of Agriculture , the US Department of Interior , and the US Institute for Environmental Conflict Resolution.
