EAS 444.001 - FoodLiteracy for All
The Food Literacy for All course offers a unique opportunity for students to gain an interdisciplinary overview of crises and opportunities in today’s food system through a weekly lecture series featuring high-profile speakers from diverse sectors: academia, grassroots movements, public health, farming, and more. Designed as an academic-community partnership, the course is co-led by a UM Program in the Environment faculty member, a Community Co-Instructor who is a local food systems leader, and the Food Literacy for All Coordinator, with support from a GSI, and a number of others. The course is unique in this model of instruction and is open to anyone in the community, near or far, due to its remote nature, allowing them to attend the weekly webinars for free.
