EAS 677.074 - Supply Chains for Sustainability
Intimate knowledge of supply chains is a prerequisite for accurate corporate greenhouse gas accounting and complying with forthcoming supply chain transparency and deforestation laws (e.g., EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive). Topics will include corporate power, theories of supply chain coordination and governance (e.g., global value chains), opacity and the first mile, the evolving regulatory space, data and methods for supply chain transparency, green capital accumulation and power asymmetries in supply chains, and the implications sustainability initiatives for producers at the base of supply chains.
