About
Through the design of places, we touch lives.
With this opportunity comes the responsibility to find creative ways to leverage the functions of landscapes to meet social and cultural needs while enhancing ecological value and biodiversity. Pressures of housing shortages, rapid urbanization of watersheds, social inequities and the adverse effects of climate change offer challenges to how we, as a society, shape our built environment. Landscape architecture is uniquely situated to reveal opportunities and help re-envision our cities and surrounding areas in ways that support resilient communities and quality of life.
Daniel is a licensed landscape architect and urban designer practicing in workplace, civic, community development and urban revitalization projects across California, Europe and Asia. His recent work includes six sites in downtown Sunnyvale that have already started to transform the city's core, as well as three parks in downtown San Jose, that serve to bolster quality of life as these cities densify to meet the needs of their residents.
