Lubana is an environmental social scientist and postdoctoral researcher at the School for Environment and Sustainability at the University of Michigan. Her research examines how climate and environmental hazards interact with social vulnerability, public health, and policy to shape community resilience and recovery. Her current work focuses on the health and financial impacts of repeated flooding, disparities in recovery resources and investments, and the effectiveness of policies that support affected communities. She uses geospatial and statistical analyses, policy evaluation, interviews, and mixed-method approaches to advance equitable climate adaptation and environmental justice.
