Jason Hagani
I am a spatial ecologist whose research focuses on wildlife movements and the ways in which those movements are affected and influenced by anthropogenic activity. My research employs an interdisciplinary approach to understanding complex human-wildlife systems, combining methods from remote sensing, statistical modeling, field ecology, and social sciences. My PhD work will broadly examine the impacts of prescribed fires in the Upper Peninsula on the spatial and behavioral ecology of grey wolves in collaboration with the Sault Ste. Marie of Chippewa Indians.
