Congratulations to University of Michigan School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS) Professor Maria Carmen Lemos! Lemos was recognized by the American Association of Geographers (AAG) Human Dimensions of Global Change group for her many years of leadership in the field of human dimensions and her broad legacy of work in climate adaptation and the role of knowledge in building adaptive capacity.
Lemos delivered the keynote lecture to the group and also received the Research Excellence Award on March 27, 2025, during the AAG's Annual Meeting in Detroit, Michigan.
