11:30 am
Together we will read “Thinking Through the Environment, Unsettling the Humanities” (2012)--the introductory piece to the Environmental Humanities journal’s first volume--and Kyle Whyte's more recent piece, “Against Crisis Epistemology” (2021). Reading the evolution of the field across these two pieces, we will discuss how the EH journal initially imagined what it meant to be engaged in this work versus what it entails for scholars now. Register via Sessions to receive the readings.
