SEAS Events

This workshop guides participants to define implicit bias, identify situations of implicit bias, and develop skills to interrupt the harm caused by implicit bias when it shows up in ourselves and others. We will address common limiting beliefs that maintain structural inequalities within colleges and universities such as perceptions of institutional “fit,” academic prestige, classroom and lab culture, hidden knowledge, and “civil” discourse. To address implicit bias takes critical self education and care-centered community accountability. We hope you can join the SEAS DEI Office on Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 1-2:00PM.
