Michael K. Dorsey (PhD '05) Named to For(bes) the Culture 50 List
School for Environment and Sustainability graduate Michael K. Dorsey (PhD '05), a recognized expert on global energy, finance, and sustainability, was named to the inaugural For(bes) The Culture 50 list. The listing honors 50 champions who are Black and Brown leaders "making the most impact through their capital, creativity, and connections."
Dorsey, who earned a PhD in environmental planning from SEAS, co-founded and heads Around the Corner Capital—an energy advisory and impact finance platform. Through Around the Corner, he actively invests and advises several pools of private equity finance on renewable energy and related matters globally.
In 2013 the National Journal named him Dorsey one of 200 national “energy and environment expert insiders.” In 1997 Rotary International gave Dorsey its highest honor: The Paul Harris Medal for Distinguished Service to Humanity. He is a full member of the Club of Rome.
