Policy Options to Enable an Equitable Energy Transition
Dr. Tony Reames, an assistant professor of environmental justice at the School for Environment and Sustainability, is one of 15 scholars who contributed to a report in which they share insights on policy proposals to support an equitable energy transition for all communities. The report, issued by Resources for the Future, presents proposals to support an equitable energy transition with a focus on energy-producing communities, along with communities that have experienced a history of environmental and energy injustice. It is not intended to be comprehensive, but instead refines existing policy proposals and offers new ideas, drawing from the best available evidence on benefits, costs, and employment.
