Support with Internships, Networking, Mentorship
The University of Michigan School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS) provides extensive support services and resources to help students prepare for fulfilling, impactful careers in environment and sustainability. The Career Services staff works with you to identify what you want to do, where you want to go, and how to get you there.
Summer internships provide real-world experience. Our Career Services staff assists students in identifying opportunities and reaching out to contacts within selected organizations (Rocky Mountain Institute, Environmental Defense Fund Climate Corps, Nature Conservancy, National Park Service, and others).
Students begin to interact with Career Services at new student orientation, and the relationship continues throughout their time at SEAS and beyond. You can get help finding the best internships and mentorships to support your career path. You can get guidance on preparing for interviews, preparing your resume, and networking. And professional development opportunities abound—from the Green Career Fair on campus to Career Treks across the nation.
