Green Bay Packers - Titletown Development Sustainability Recommendations (2017)
This project will accomplish one or more of the following objectives: 1) An energy efficiency audit of Lambeau Field and recommendations for energy savings, 2) A study of the soon-to-be created Titletown business promenade, which the Packers are breaking ground on outside of Lambeau Field and is scheduled to be completed in 2017, and recommendations to minimize negative environmental impacts, 3) Assisting the Packers Green Team with drafting an organizational Sustainability Strategy, encompassing all components of the Packers’ built environment and business operations. This Masters Project will have real-world implications for the Green Bay Packers sustainability goals and will, hopefully, affect GBP business operations. We believe this project has the potential to make the Packers a sustainability leader amongst National Football League (NFL) teams, expanding national exposure to environmental concerns.
The required research methodologies will vary, depending on which objectives this group attempts to research. Regardless, we believe that any of these objectives can be scoped in a manner that will ensure the work is reasonable for the 16-month period and will result in a product beneficial to the project group and the Packers.

The research will integrate the skills and interests of Sustainable Systems track members in Objective 1, the skills of Behavior, Education, and Communications, Environmental Public Policy, and possibly Landscape Architecture track members in Objective 2, as an assessment of consumer behavior and the necessity to work with Ashwaubenon county and Green Bay township local governmental organizations will be critical to project success, and all tracks, with particular skills from Erb students becoming an added benefit, for Objective 3.
