EAS 501.085 - Speculative Landscapes: Design as Inquiry
Description
This design seminar-studio positions landscape architecture as a tool for critical speculation and inquiry, inviting students to imagine futures that challenge the boundaries of current environmental, social, and technological paradigms. Framed around the structure of a design competition, students will investigate emerging and uncertain conditions—climate adaptation, post-industrial transformation, multispecies coexistence, and planetary change—through experimental design proposals.
