This course is intended to simply be an opportunity to gain some experience with a real-world skill/technology that is in high demand: that is knowledge and understanding of how one might integrate the Python language into work that you do. You might think of this course as a support group for people who wish to continue to improve their abilities, with python. Specifically, during this half-semester we will work on writing/designing python scripts and workflows in general; writing/designing python scripts and workflows that undertake real-world geospatial tasks; and developing strategies for you to continue learning Python after this half-semester concludes. This course is intended for students with prior experience in programming, including some exposure to the python language.
