Q: I would like to know more about how and when I can choose to pursue a dual degree after I start at SEAS.
A: Students can apply to a second Rackham masters program in January. Students can apply to non-Rackham programs this fall.
Q: If we did not apply to the Business School, but are interested in applying, when do we do so?
A: There are typically information sessions during the fall term to review the application process with Ross.
Q: What dual degree programs are available?
A: There are a variety of dual degree programs available. SEAS has formal dual degree programs with Engineering, Law, Ross, Public Policy, and Urban Planning. Students can also pursue student-initiated dual degrees. These are typically with Public Health, Social Work, Economics, and Education.
Q: What is the timeline to complete a dual degree?
A: This is dependent on the dual degree program. Most take 3 years.
Q: For a dual degree, I heard the first year is dedicated to one program and the second is dedicated to the other program. How does one choose which program to start with?
A: For most programs, this is correct. The decision on where to start is typically up to the student.
Q: Do Environmental Justice students have an opportunity to study Health Sciences as a dual degree?
A: Yes, any SEAS student can apply to a second degree program.
Q: I'd like to hear more about the processes for dual degrees, such as the order of curriculum, enrollment in multiple schools, etc.
