About

Jeff Laufle (BS ’78, MS University of Washington, Fisheries), worked on projects in Michigan, Washington and Alaska, then joined the US Army Corps of Engineers in Portland, OR.  He has recently retired from the Corps’ Seattle District, where he spent much of his career doing  environmental compliance for Corps projects and addressing northwest regional issues.

Most recently he served as Seattle District’s Endangered Species Act compliance coordinator; he also led Seattle District sustainability policy development.  He is president of a nonprofit watershed group where he lives, and remains committed to natural resources protection and sustainable solutions.  He enjoys the abundance of outdoor activities in the Pacific Northwest.
