Daniel Tinajero (MBA/MS '27) is pursuing a career at the intersection of finance, sustainable development, infrastructure, and clean energy. He is a dual MBA/MS candidate at the University of Michigan through the Erb Institute, where he combines business strategy, finance, and sustainability to better understand how capital can unlock the infrastructure and energy systems that support long-term economic development.
Drawing on experience across renewable energy, digital infrastructure, carbon markets, and project development, Daniel has worked on initiatives spanning North America and Asia. His work includes evaluating large-scale infrastructure investments, supporting renewable energy and data infrastructure developments, and exploring innovative financing strategies that advance economic growth alongside environmental sustainability. These experiences have reinforced his belief that finance is not only a means of funding projects, but a powerful catalyst for building resilient economies and enabling the energy transition.
As a first-generation graduate student and father, Daniel has balanced graduate education, professional development, and family while building a career in sustainable development and finance.
