A Public Lecture by alum Shaw Lacy: Spatial Data and Fish Ecology Informing Policy in Chile

2315 Dana Building
| Monday February 9, 2026 | 2:00 pm
Event flyer

Landscape scale fluvial ecology models connect well with a policy-making framework. In Chile, the modeling frameworks developed by former SEAS professors Paul Seelbach and Michael Wiley have been applied to build policy tools for decision-making in the areas of sustainable hydropower and climate change adaptation. This talk examines the unforeseen challenges facing the development of landscape-scale fluvial ecological models that connect climate, land-use, and hydrology.
