People, Parks, and Partnerships (2006)
USA
Project Description
Currently, visitorship and involvement in the National Park Service (NPS) does not adequately reflect America's changing demographics. This project explores community-based partnerships as a solution to reducing barriers to park visitorship among people of color, low-income citizens, and women and girls. It offers recommendations for the NPS to achieve its mandate of providing a meaningful experience for all Americans.
