Amritha Pallavoor
Amritha is a PhD student in the GAIEA Lab, interested in interdisciplinary research at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and environmental science. Her research broadly focuses on developing multimodal AI methods that integrate remote sensing and field data to support ecological monitoring, biodiversity assessment, and environmental decision-making.
Prior to joining SEAS, Amritha worked as a Junior Specialist in the Forest Change Analysis Lab (FOCAL) at UC Davis, where she worked on drone-based forest mapping using computer vision and spatial data science, and developed open-source tools at the Open Forest Observatory.
