Chandler Sachs
Chandler Sachs is a PhD candidate in the School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS) at the University of Michigan. At SEAS, his research explores the use of geospatial data science, artificial intelligence, and industrial ecology methods to understand and track the extraction and supply chains of critical minerals and metals. His academic interests include transboundary flows of natural resources, industrial base policy, complex systems, and security and social vulnerabilities related to coupled human-environment systems. Prior to the University of Michigan, Chandler spent four years working in research for the RAND Corporation in DC. He did his undergraduate studies at Cornell University, where he was a Meinig Scholar.
