Keaa’s research interests focus on the relationship between ancestral and emergent technologies, particularly digital earth technologies, in the context of Indigenous communities in the Pacific region. Prior to joining the SEAS doctoral cohort in 2025, she worked in her home community in Hawai’i on projects related to energy justice and biocultural restoration through Purple Mai’a Foundation and Shake Energy Collaborative.
