Congratulations to University of Michigan School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS) alumna Cynthia Shih (MS/MBA '13), who was featured in the 2025 Grist 50 list. The list features 50 climate leaders “who are making a real difference and moving the needle.” Shih, who performs under the stage name Vienna Teng, is an independent songwriter and climate organizer in Washington, D.C. She is noted for “inspiring climate action” through her music. Shih’s efforts have inspired her fans to initiate rooftop solar and improve sustainability in workplaces. She was recognized in the arts and media category.
