Entering Year
2018
CV file

I am a plant community ecologist. I investigate how forest understories are structured when invaded. I have a Biology Bachelors's degree in Biology focused on Conservation Ecology from the Universidade Federal de São Carlos campus Sorocaba, Brazil, in 2013. Then, I worked as an environmental analyst for almost two years. Later, I returned to academia and pursued a Master's Degree in Plant Biodiversity and Environment with a minor in Vascular Plants in Environmental Analyzes in 2017. I started my Ph.D. degree at SEAS in 2018.

Education

MS, Instituto de Botânica de São Paulo (Plant Biodiversity and Environment, minor in Vascular Plants in Environmental Analyzes), 2017

BS, Universidade Federal de São Carlos campus Sorocaba (Biological Sciences, focus Conservation Ecology), 2013

Committee Chair/Advisor
Inés Ibáñez
Specialization
Ecosystem Science and Management
Research

I am a Ph.D. candidate interested in how plant communities, especially forests, are structured. To understand it, I explore the role of invasive plants. My research focuses on investigating community ecology principles and how this knowledge can be applied to the management of invaded ecosystems.
