  3. Welcome To The Sustainable Future Hub
Sustainable Futures Hub

The Sustainable Future Hub supports sustainability decision-making on campus and beyond. How we view the present and envision the future informs solutions. In a time of rapid societal and environmental change, the ability to harness technology to analyze and interact with data and environments is critical to anticipating the most pressing sustainability problems.

Technologies can enable scientific discovery by providing opportunities to explore data in new ways and can also enhance engaging the public in decision-making. Importantly the Hub will support dialogue between diverse stakeholder groups, serving as a critical boundary-spanning organization that can contribute to developing and maintaining coherence across distinct sustainability problems.

The Hub provides resources and infrastructure for sustainability decision-making across a variety of sectors. Customized and accessible hardware, software, and tech support aim to enable stakeholders and decision-makers to engage in meaningful dialogue focused on decisions and issues of utmost importance.

Touch tables, virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) technologies, immersive environments, and interactive communication technologies aid us in exploring our world and charting new sustainable pathways. Active expertise and development space at the Hub can assist diverse stakeholders, especially students, to envision these new scenarios. Students, faculty, practitioners, community members, and other stakeholders interested in using the technologies  can contact us. We are happy to discuss collaboration on your project or idea to help navigate our common future.
