SEAS Employer Advisory Council (SEAC)
Launched in 2023, the SEAC meets twice per year for the following purposes and to support SEAS students and Career Services:
- Identify best practices in employer engagement and recruitment
- Guide skill identification and employability preparation needs in the contemporary workforce
- Share current economic and hiring trends in sustainability recruitment
- Support experiential learning opportunities and vision
- Share employer needs and perspectives relating to recruitment and talent acquisition
- Generate new innovations to support SEAS graduate career outcomes, in coordination with SEAS staff and faculty

Arman Golrokhian, Decarbonization Strategy, Principal Consultant, PA Consulting
Arman is an energy professional with over 12 years of experience in the energy industry and a passion for promoting clean-tech solutions. Through his interdisciplinary work, he identifies market-based solutions and policies that transform global energy and transportation systems. Arman is currently an energy consultant for the Economics & Investment Strategy group at PA Consulting. Prior to this role, Arman worked for the Corporate Strategy and the Renewable Energy Solutions departments at DTE Energy, where he designed new green products and evaluated the impact of emerging technologies on the electricity grid. His areas of expertise includes rate design, electric vehicles, energy efficiency, distributed generation, community solar, voluntary renewables, and energy storage. Arman earned two Master's degrees in Public Policy and Sustainability from the University of Michigan, an interdisciplinary education that spans the fields of economics, public policy, business, and sustainability. Combined with his engineering training, this unique education allows him to find innovative and effective cross-disciplinary solutions to energy problems. Prior to enrolling at UM, Arman studied mechanical engineering at Sharif University.
Jenny Hebert, Landscape Architect, US Forest Service
Jenny Hebert received her MLA from the University of Michigan in 2015. After 2 ½ years with InSite Design Studio in Ann Arbor, she transitioned to federal service through the Presidential Management Fellowship program and began her career with the US Forest Service. For over five years Jenny has worked on recreation site planning and design, scenery management, wildfire recovery, and accessibility enhancement for National Forests throughout the mountain west. She is currently the Landscape Architect for the Eldorado National Forest and lives in South Lake Tahoe, CA with her partner, dogs, and demon cat.
Jennifer Hill, Executive Director, Clinton River Watershed Council
Jennifer joined the CWRC in 2022 as the Executive Director and is charged with leading the organization to uphold its mission to protect, enhance and celebrate the Clinton River, its watershed, and Lake St. Clair for the benefit of communities, the environment and our future.
Jennifer brings 17 years of experience in Great Lakes policy advocacy, non-profit organizational management, and coalition and partnership building. In her previous roles, Jennifer has worked across the Great Lakes advocacy community to establish and advocate for sustainable funding for the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, including as a member of the Great Lakes Advisory Board, and worked extensively as a staff member of the Healing Our Waters-Great Lakes Coalition for over 12 years where she was responsible for managing the Coalition’s work with member groups at the state and federal level including engaging them in outreach to decision makers and the public. As Associate Director of the National Wildlife Federation’s Great Lakes Regional Center for 5 years, Jennifer led the expansion of NWF’s work around PFAS in the Great Lakes region, including as a co-founding member of the Great Lakes PFAS Action Network. She also oversaw the water, chemicals of emerging concern, and wildlife programs, led the strategic development for the region, and incubated new programming. Jennifer received her B.A. in Environmental Science from the University of Michigan School of Natural Resources and the Environment in 2005. Jennifer and her family consider Lake Huron and the east side of Michigan their happy place, and that is where they spend their free time, rain or shine, snow or sun.
Meagan Kadlec, Human Resources Director, Western Resource Advocates
Meagan is part of the Administration team and is the Human Resource Director. She develops relationships across the various regions we work in (and beyond!) to bring in the best candidates for our jobs and internships. Meagan ensures new staff and interns have a smooth start to their journeys at WRA. She is always looking for ways to improve our internal processes and keep WRA a great place to work!
Meagan joined the team as our first Recruitment and Hiring Manager in 2019 and was promoted to Human Resources Director in 2022. Prior to that she worked at Elevate Energy in Chicago, helping to ensure the benefits of clean and efficient energy use reach those who need it most. Meagan comes with a wide array of experience in growing a non-profit; including internal operations, streamlined onboarding, internal communications, staff retreats, and mentorship programs. She is a certified yoga instructor and a graduate of the Second City Improv Program.
Jessica Leung, Program Manager Early Talent Diversity Program, World Wildlife Fund (WWF)
Jessica Leung is program manager for WWF’s Early Talent Diversity Programs. She manages WWF’s centralized diversity-focused internship program and leads engagement with targeted minority-serving colleges/universities, student organizations, and other academic strategic partners. She also leads WWF's partnership with Smithsonian Institution, working with local high school students to address climate change and developing project-based action plans tailored to their communities. Previously, she was at the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES), where she served as a research fellow on energy and transportation and led organizational DEI efforts. This included drafting a DEI commitment statement, creating a DEI action plan, and leading the organization's first DEI working group. She also created new programs for interns while serving as their mentor. Prior to C2ES, she was an Equity, Inclusion, Diversity Committee coordinator at the Yale School of the Environment and an Environmental Services Specialist at Calpine Corporation. Jessica earned a bachelor’s degree in managerial economics from the University of California, Davis and a master’s degree in environmental management from the Yale School of the Environment. She was born in Hong Kong and grew up in California.
Patti McCall, Principal Hydrologist, Tetra Tech
Patti McCall is a Professional Wetland Scientist and a Principal Hydrogeologist with over 20 years of experience. As a Professional Wetland Scientist, Ms. McCall has experience in wetland and waters of the U.S. delineation and mitigation, Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) Part 303 Wetlands Protection, Part 301 Inland Lakes and Streams and Part 325 Great Lakes Bottomlands permitting in the State of Michigan in support of residential and industrial development, power plant construction and substations/switchyards and related infrastructure; dredging maintenance, petroleum and natural gas pipeline projects, solar energy developments, habitat assessments, biological risk assessments, sediment and surface water sampling, contaminant remediation in wetlands, wetland mitigation and monitoring, and environmental construction compliance. Ms. McCall has extensive experience serving as project manager, permitting specialist and technical support for numerous multi-discipline projects.
Oluwafemi (Femi) Sawyerr, Managing Consultant, Energy and Environmental Economics (E3)
Mr. Sawyerr joined E3 in 2016 and works in E3’s Integrated System Planning practice area, where he helps utilities, state agencies, grid operators, and project developers prepare for and implement a modern electricity grid that utilizes large amounts of renewable resources. His recent work includes managing E3’s support of the California Public Utility Commission’s (CPUC) Integrated Resource Plan’s (IRP), including leading the Busbar Mapping analysis that supports the California Independent System Operator’s (CAISO) Transmission Planning Process (TPP). He also led E3’s Oregon Renewable Energy Market and Industry Assessment on behalf of the Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE); which sought to estimate the quantity and location of renewable resource development in the state of Oregon in different geographic and policy scenarios. He works extensively with E3’s proprietary RESOLVE model to optimize long-term investments in generation and transmission resources subject to reliability, technical, and policy constraints. Mr. Sawyerr received an M.S. in Natural Resources and Environment from the University of Michigan in 2015
Katie Williamson, Manager, Learning & Tools, Rare - Center for Behavior &
the Environment
Katie works at Rare, a global behavior change and conservation organization based near Washington DC, USA. She is a manager of learning and tools for the Center for Behavior & the Environment where she develops tools, resources, and trainings on behavior change. Katie has a passion for developing learning experiences for global audiences interested in environmental behavior change. Prior to joining Rare, she earned an M.S. from the University of Michigan’s School for Environment and Sustainability with concentrations in Behavior, Education, and Communication as well as Environmental Justice. She also holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College in Anthropology and Environmental Studies. Prior to Rare, Katie helped design and support undergraduate and graduate courses, worked with the Aspen Institute and the Donella Meadows Institute, and served as a research consultant for a chapter of The Nature Conservancy.
