Total Certificate Tuition Cost$13,900 (Full 12 credits)
Cost Per Course$3,475 (each course earns 3 graduate credits)
Application Fee$75 domestic students/$90 international students (Non-refundable)
Mandatory Student Fees~$241 per term enrolled (Based on 2025-2026 rates)

Note: Tuition is a flat rate regardless of residency and may increase according to annual U-M tuition adjustments.

Save up to 13% of tuition costs on a SEAS master’s degree. 

  • If you take these courses but elect not to receive the certificate, all 12 credits can be applied toward a SEAS residential Master of Science (MS).
  • Applying these 12 credits allows you the opportunity  to complete your master’s degree faster and will reduce your residential tuition by up to one semester.
  • Upon admission to the master’s program, you will meet with an academic advisor to assist in your credit transfer
