Virtual Green Career Fair
Join us for the virtual Green Career Fair on February 16, 2024! This fair is open to SEAS and PitE students only.
Employer registration: Nov. 27 - Feb. 2*
*Priority will be given to employers that are currently hiring at the graduate and undergraduate levels for full-time positions and summer internships.
Student registration: Feb. 4 - Feb. 15*
*SEAS and PitE students are required to register for the event in order to sign up for individual interviews and group interview sessions with employers. Students will receive participation instructions after registering.

>> What is a "green" career fair?
The events are structured similarly to other career fairs, but participating employers are hiring for positions with an environmental and sustainability focus.
>> Should I participate in the fairs if I am not currently seeking a job or internship?
Yes, Green Career Fairs provide a critical opportunity to develop professional networking connections and to learn about employers that may interest you in the future.
>> Why should I consider a "green" job?
With increasing concerns about climate change and environmental degradation in contemporary society, there is a demand for environmentally conscious careers. Applying your skills to an environmental position can provide fulfilling experiences that encourage sustainable thinking in future career paths and benefit the environment as a whole.
>> How do I participate in the Virtual Green Career Fair?
1. Log in to SEAS Career Link from December 11 - February 15 to register/sign up to engage with employers registered for the fair
2. Click "Events", navigate to "Virtual Green Career Fair"
3. Click "Register" (you will only be able to sign up for slots once you are registered); registered students will receive a guide for navigating the fair prior to the event.
>> How will I know which employers are participating in the Virtual Green Career Fair?
1. Log in to SEAS Career Link
2. Click "Event"
3. Click "Employers" tab to see a list of the employers attending
>> For the Virtual Green Career Fair, how many time slots can I sign up for?
We ask that students only sign up for one group slot and/or one individual interview slot per organization of interest to allow as many students as possible to engage with employers.

>> What are the benefits of recruiting at the SEAS Green Career Fair?
All baccalaureate, masters, and PhD students across the University of Michigan Ann Arbor campus are invited to attend the in-person event, so you will have a broad range of candidates to recruit.
*The SEAS program is interdisciplinary so our students study a wide range of issues including environmental law and policy, landscape architecture, environmental justice, sustainable energy systems, and so much more. No matter your industry, there is a SEAS student who will fit the position that you want to fill. >> For the virtual fair - if my availability changes (due to illness, etc.), what should I do?
We understand that urgent situations may arise, please contact [email protected] immediately. While we will do what we can to assist, it is unlikely that we can accommodate changes on the day of the fair. You may have to contact your candidates to reschedule utilizing your own resources.
>> For the virtual fair - can I have a colleague participate in my meetings?
Yes - please share your virtual meeting link with your colleague. If you would like them to have access to the event in SEAS Career Link by 12twenty (including candidate schedule), please have them create an account and add them as an additional contact.
>> For the virtual fair - what do I do if I experience technical difficulties with a candidate?
Please contact the candidate by the phone number on their resume. If the student does not have contact information listed on their resume or you do not have access, contact [email protected].
