Graduate Student Instructor - School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS)
Graduate Student Instructors (GSIs) at the University of Michigan are considered members of the community of scholars. GSIs contribute to our teaching enterprise by working as partners with the faculty members who develop and supervise course offerings. SEAS only accepts applications from current SEAS students who are in good academic standing. Students are encouraged to apply for positions in which they are qualified, both within SEAS as well as across campus (other departments will have other posting windows and processes). Appointments are made on a term-by-term basis and typically require between 9.5-20 hours of work per week. You can review the number of GSIs in each unit/department on this website. We have the SEAS Class Size Policy on this website. EAS courses (SEAS courses) are only open to current SEAS students.
